The 18V LXT Sub-Compact Brushless Polisher/Sander (XVP01ZB, tool only) is a compact solution for precise detail polishing or sanding applications. A dual speed selector provides 0 – 2800 RPM in polish mode and 0 – 9500 RPM in sanding mode. A variable speed trigger with power lock-on provides added convenience. The brushless motor enables the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer run time performance and rubberized gear housing helps protect delicate surfaces. The polisher/sander features Anti-restart protection, which engineered to prevent motor start up when the battery is inserted with power switch in locked-on position. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V li-ion slide-style batteries. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls.
